Dr. Bankiewicz with daugher Kara and adopted family pet, Roma

Dr. Malina Bankiewicz was born and raised in Poland, where she received both dental and medical degrees. After coming to America over 20 years ago, she received a further DDS degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1998. She went on to practice on both the East and West Coasts before joining Dr. Westerhout's Castro Valley practice.

1998: Graduate, with Honors, University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco, California.

1998: Membership, American Academy of Oral Medicine. 

1990: Fogarty International Fellowship Award for Research, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda MD.

Dr. Bankiewicz and her husband have one daughter, Kara, and an adopted dog, Roma.
